Recognition of University of Benin by Oracle Academy

As part of efforts to build global partnership with world class institutions for the purpose of Research and Development, the Federal Ministry of Education in collaboration with Oracle University (A World Class Database Institution) organized a Conference for the training of staff of tertiary institutions early this year. Immediately after the Conference, a staff and representative of University of Benin Mr. Augustine Omoregie in ICT Unit was appointed Oracle Academy Representative for Nigeria by virtue of his outstanding performance and partnership with Oracle University.

Furthermore, Award of Recognition was also given to University of Benin to foster collaboration and integration of Oracle Academy curriculum and training of staff and students of the institution at no cost to the University. This award recognizes University of Benin as a licensed institution to integrate Oracle Database Curriculum in relevant Departments, where database applications are taught to the students. Interestingly, the database such as Dbase in Computer Science can now be replaced with Oracle Database curriculum at no cost to the University.

Congratulations to the management of the University for this Noble Achievement.

Thanks
