UNIBEN Admission Screening Exercise 2017/2018

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Admission Screening Exercise for 2017/2018 Academic Session; to be conducted by UNIBEN CONSULT NIGERIA LIMITED, will take place between 14th September 2017 and 25th September 2017 in designated centres within the Ugbowo Campus of the University.

The Screening Exercise shall be conducted using the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

All candidates are expected to be seated, latest one hour before the stipulated time for their screening exercise.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2017/2018 UTME Admission and chose the University of Benin as First Choice and scored 200 and above are eligible for this Screening Exercise Obtained at least five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent.

The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required) as well as three other relevant subjects (four if excluding mathematics); at not more than two sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

The procedure for the 2017/2018 Admission Screening application for first time applicants is as follows:

Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before starting the application process.

Visit www.uniben.edu, Click on Student Portal, Click on Applicants and then select UNIBEN ADMISSION SCREENING 2017/2018. Click on Register for application at the top left of the displayed page to proceed. Enter your Surname Exactly as written on the JAMB Registration slip, and JAMB Registration number.

Immediately, your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser Back On uniben.waeup.org click on ‘Login’ (top right of the front page). Enter your username and the password to login.

To start the application process, please click on ‘Application record’ and provide all required information and upload your passport photograph. Upload a Recent and clear 1” x 1” COLOURED passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only. Great care should also be taken to follow the specified formats on the UNIBEN website and portal.

NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin.

FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION and failure/forfeitures of admission.

To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “Pay with Remita” on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee of N 2,000:00; (This excludes Service Charges), the admission screening exercise past questions for N1,500:00 (optional); with a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria.

A link is displayed “Download past questions to practice” upon successful payment.

Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. (No correction will be accepted after the closing date).

Go back online on the appointed date to print out the acknowledgement slip that contains your specific screening schedule.

Candidates should go back on-line from 12th September, 2017 to check for the Day, Venue and Time for the Screening Exercise Candidates are to come to their screening centres with the following:

JUPEB Admission Registration Deadline 2017/2018 Extended

Management of the University of Benin, (UNIBEN), has extended the deadline for the application of JUPEB (Pre-Degree) Foundation programme for the 2017/2018 academic session.The new deadline for registration is now August 28th, 2017.

Admission into the various JUPEB programme shall be through entrance examination to be conducted on the 19th of August, 2017 by 9am at the Ugbowo Campus of the university.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for the entrance examination into the various Pre-Degree Studies, candidates must satisfy the stated general and specific requirements for admission.

Such requirements are displayed on the school’s website – https://uniben.waeup.org/applicants/pre2017

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before starting the application process (not the cyber-cafe’s mail). All application MUST be completed through the university’s website.

TO BEGIN THE APPLICATION PROCESS,

  1. Visit https://uniben.waeup.org/applicants/pre2017/register/ and fill out the registration form. (Ensure you provide all necessary information. Note that * means compulsory fields).
  2. An immediate mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided. Open your mail to get your system generated ID and Password that you will use to login.
  3. On uniben.waeup.org/login, Enter your user name and the password from the mail to login.
  4. To begin the application process, please click on ‘Edit application record’ and provide all required information and upload your passport photograph.
  5. Upload a clear “1 x 1” COLOURED passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUAILIFICATION AND FAILURE/FORFEITURE OF ADMISSION.
  6. To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “College Pay” on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee with an ATM-Enabled Verve or Master Card from any commercial Bank.
  7. Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application on-line. Please NOTEthat you cannot edit your application after submission. So ensure all information provided are correct before you finally click “submit.”
  8. Print out the Application slip after submission.
